EDGE and GPRS both have the functions of data transmission. With terminal support, GoTone and E-Card customers can use original number (changing number and SIM card are not necessary) to enjoy Internet surfing where the speed is over three times faster than GPRS. (Note: Terminal must support EDGE function. Being promoted by our company, AIRCARD775 network card, at present, supports both EDGE and GPRS services.)
How to apply for EDGE
Extra application is not necessary for EDGE service. Original GSM, SIM card can be used directly, it is unnecessary to change phone number or card. Application process is the same as in GPRS.
Tariff Standard
EDGE service charge depends on data flow. Charge includes the combination of data flow of EDGE and GPRS. Principle of Charge standard is the same as in GPRS. Meanwhile, same GPRS preferential policy can be also enjoyed like late night preferential service.
